Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established mid-sized law firm based in Somerset County, New Jersey is seeking Associate Attorney with 1 to 5 years of experience to join its litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters, including insurance defense, commercial litigation, civil litigation, municipal court cases, and municipal prosecution. Location:

• Warren, NJ

Duties:

• Represent clients in insurance defense and civil litigation matters

• Handle commercial litigation, including contract and business disputes

• Manage municipal court matters and prosecutions

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda

• Conduct legal research and analysis

• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation

Requirements:

• 1 to 5 years of experience in litigation (insurance defense, civil, or municipal law preferred)

• Strong legal writing and research skills

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills

• Must submit salary expectation and three professional references with application

• Bilingual ability is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the State of New Jersey
