Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a driven and passionate Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury or civil litigation and a strong desire to advocate for clients in trial. As a Trial Attorney, this position will involve client communication, legal research, taking and defending depositions, and managing cases from intake to trial.

Location:

• New Orleans, LA

Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial.

• Communicate with clients and provide case updates.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other case-related documents.

• Lead mediations and assist in case strategy development.

• Manage multiple cases effectively, ensuring progress and timely resolutions.

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.

• Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.

• Experience drafting and responding to motions.

• Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Louisiana State Bar membership.

Skills:

• Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
