A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a talented Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its growing insurance and commercial litigation practice. Based in South Florida, this position offers the opportunity to advise on complex insurance coverage issues and litigate high-exposure matters, including bad faith and commercial disputes. The role supports both national and international clients, with access to a collaborative hybrid work model and global professional resources.

Location

Duties

• Advise insurance carriers on complex coverage issues involving various lines of insurance

• Handle litigation involving insurance coverage, bad faith, and related commercial disputes

• Draft detailed coverage opinions, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Argue motions and attend court hearings

• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

• Collaborate with national and international legal teams on cross-border matters

• Contribute to business development and internal legal initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage and/or bad faith litigation

• Background in commercial litigation is highly preferred

• Admitted to practice and in good standing with the Florida Bar

• Familiarity with all phases of litigation, including drafting, discovery, and appeals

• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload under performance metrics (1920 billable hour requirement)

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications

• Active Florida Bar license required

• Additional bar admissions are a plus
