Job Overview

A prominent law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Trial Attorney specializing in personal injury cases. This role is ideal for a highly motivated legal professional with a proven record in civil jury trials and a commitment to excellence in client representation. The attorney will handle cases from inception to settlement or trial, with significant autonomy and support to achieve optimal results.

Duties

  • Manage a high-volume caseload involving all phases of personal injury litigation.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations to assess liability and damages.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including motions, discovery responses, and trial briefs.
  • Prepare for and serve as the first chair in civil jury trials.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
  • Provide exceptional service and maintain clear, consistent communication with clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of personal injury litigation experience, with an emphasis on trial work.
  • Successful completion of at least 10 civil jury trials to verdict.
  • Active Bar license and in good standing in California.
  • Strong research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Experience working collaboratively with support staff and legal teams.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

Certifications

  • Must hold a current license to practice law in California.
