Job Overview

A law firm seeks a tax associate to join its Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Team in Charleston, SC. This position offers a unique opportunity for a lateral associate to be part of an expanding team that supports diverse client needs across the U.S.

Duties

  • Represent developers in the development, acquisition, and sale of affordable multifamily housing.
  • Engage in the construction, rehabilitation, and operation of housing projects.
  • Utilize federal, state, and local affordable housing programs.

Requirements

  • Experience in partnership tax and federal income tax credits preferred.
  • Member in good standing of any state bar.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
  • LLM in Taxation preferred.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
