Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate and Transactional Attorney to join their team just outside Trussville, AL. The ideal candidate will support real estate closing operations and general transactional matters, bringing expertise in Alabama real estate law and title work.

Duties

  • Conduct and oversee residential and commercial real estate closings.
  • Review title searches and prepare title opinions.
  • Identify and resolve title issues efficiently.
  • Draft and review legal documents including deeds, contracts, and affidavits.
  • Advise staff, clients, agents, and lenders on Alabama real estate law.
  • Serve as attorney-of-record on transactions.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all transactions.
  • Assist with general transactional legal matters as needed.
  • Support business development and firm growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Active Alabama law license in good standing.
  • Reside in the state of Alabama.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in real estate and/or transactional law preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Alabama property and title law.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Qualia or other real estate closing software is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Alabama.
