Duties

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property division, and spousal support

• Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in family law

• Attend and advocate at court hearings and trials

• Provide legal counsel and emotional support to clients throughout litigation

• Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff for effective case management

• Maintain accurate and organized case records

Requirements

• 2–7 years of experience practicing family law litigation

• Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently

• Excellent oral and written advocacy skills

• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and court schedules

• Commitment to ethical legal representation and client advocacy

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar

Skills

• Strong legal research and analytical skills

• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents

• Courtroom litigation experience

• Ability to manage sensitive client matters with professionalism and empathy
