Job Overview

A law firm seeks a detail-oriented and experienced attorney specializing in healthcare law to join its dynamic team. This role involves advising healthcare clients on compliance, risk management, and legal challenges, as well as representing them in litigation and regulatory matters. Duties

  • Offer legal counsel on healthcare compliance, risk mitigation, and contractual matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for healthcare clients.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in healthcare laws and regulations to keep clients informed and compliant.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including negotiations, hearings, and litigation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address complex legal issues in the healthcare industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on healthcare regulations and legal issues.
  • Knowledge of key healthcare laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, ERISA, and the ACA.
  • Experience with medical malpractice, litigation, health insurance provider and hospital claims, or employment law is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using legal software, including Clio and Westlaw.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal matters.
