A law firm in Calabasas, CA, is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join their team.

 

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have experience in both negotiating and litigating personal injury cases.

Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, defending and taking depositions, assisting in trial preparation, reviewing case files, meeting with clients, reviewing discovery responses, and engaging in the litigation process.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare pleadings, including complaints, answers, and motions.
  • Defend and take depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Assist in preparing cases for trial, including drafting trial briefs and conducting pre-trial motions.
  • Review case files, including medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Meet with clients to discuss case developments and provide updates.
  • Review discovery responses and draft discovery requests as needed.
  • Engage in the litigation process, including attending court hearings and conferences.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in personal injury law is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of California.
