They will be responsible for representing clients in various legal proceedings, managing a significant caseload, and fostering strong client relationships.

Duties:

  • Prepare thoroughly for trials, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and strategizing case presentations.
  • Serve as first or second chair in bench and jury trials, presenting arguments effectively and advocating for clients' best interests.
  • Conducted and defended depositions, ensuring thorough examination and cross-examination of witnesses.
  • Participate in mediation, negotiating favorable settlements for clients when possible.
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and offering empathetic support.
  • Manage complex discovery processes, including document review, interrogatories, and requests for production.
  • Handle a docket of approximately 40 to 60 cases, ensuring timely and effective representation for each client.
  • Convert potential new clients into firm clients through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Maintain mastery of local rules, procedures, and deadlines to ensure compliance and successful case outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Cultivate referral sources and professional relationships to expand the firm's client base and reputation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
  • Ability to independently conduct casework without over-reliance on support staff.
  • Board Certification in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
  • Demonstrated a history of successful case outcomes and client representation.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a demanding caseload effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.

Education and Certifications:
