Job Title: Senior Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced attorney to support its Tennessee operations, with a focus on real estate finance, foreclosure, and creditors’ rights. The role is best suited for a legal professional who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and brings deep knowledge of mortgage enforcement practices. This opportunity is offered through a legal recruiting agency representing the hiring firm.

Duties:

  • Manage a substantial docket of foreclosure and collection matters

  • Appear in court regularly to represent client interests in litigation and hearings

  • Engage in discovery, take and defend depositions, and negotiate conflict resolutions

  • Draft legal documents, motions, and appellate briefs

  • Interpret and apply relevant statutes, including FDCPA, TILA, RESPA, and the Bankruptcy Code

  • Provide legal analysis and strategic input on complex creditors’ rights matters

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and industry contacts

  • Support firm visibility and growth through participation in legal and business communities

  • Collaborate with internal litigation and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Tennessee (in good standing)

  • Minimum 8 years of focused experience in foreclosure and collection law

  • Strong litigation background, including appellate practice,e preferred

  • Comfort with high case volume and fast-paced workflow

  • Experience with creditor/debtor legal matters, discovery, and motion practice

  • Confidence in client interaction and courtroom presence

  • Ability to travel for court appearances and related proceedings

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • An active Tennessee Bar license required

  • Additional state bar admissions are advantageous

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Strong analytical and research capabilities
