Job Title: Family Law Attorney

Job Overview:
A Denver-based law firm is actively seeking a detail-focused Family Law Attorney to manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution. This position is tailored for a practitioner who thrives in a collaborative yet fast-paced environment and has a passion for advocating on behalf of families. The firm values community involvement, cultural awareness, and legal excellence, and offers a flexible structure to support both in-office and remote work.

Duties:

  • Handle full case lifecycle, including intake consultations through final hearings

  • Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence

  • Regularly collaborate with paralegals for case preparation and progress tracking

  • Participate in weekly check-ins with support staff and biweekly attorney strategy meetings

  • Appear for court hearings, mediations, and depositions as needed

  • Maintain active and consistent communication with clients to ensure transparency

  • Manage discovery, evidentiary filings, and trial strategy execution

  • Fulfill monthly billing requirements by the firm's guidelines

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of practice specifically focused on family law

  • Demonstrated courtroom experience, including trial representation

  • Competency in discovery procedures and evidentiary rules

  • Experience with post-decree issues and appeals strongly preferred

  • Ability to work independently and meet case deadlines effectively

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing; familiarity with LexisNexis is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and cultural competency

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred due to client demographics

  • Tech-savvy with a proactive and organized mindset

  • Comfortable balancing team collaboration with autonomous case handling
