A law firm in Richmond is seeking a Mid-level Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate should have 4-6 years of financial services litigation experience. Strong writing and research skills, excellent academic credentials, and admission to the Virginia bar are required.

 

Job Overview:

The Mid-level Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of financial services litigation matters, with a focus on securities enforcement. The role will involve representing clients in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and civil litigation matters.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions by agencies such as the SEC, FINRA, and CFTC.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on financial services and securities law issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with all aspects of discovery, including document review and preparation of discovery requests and responses.
  • Prepare clients for interviews and depositions.
  • Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in developing case strategy and providing legal advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters.
  • Stay updated on developments in financial services and securities law.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of financial services litigation experience.
  • Admission to the Virginia bar.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Court experience and judicial law clerk experience considered a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Virginia Bar.
