Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Associate with over three years of experience in employment law to join their team in San Diego, CA. The role involves handling various aspects of employment litigation and providing HR-related counseling and compliance advice.

Duties

  • Manage employment litigation, including discrimination, leave, wage and hour, non-compete, and breach of contract matters.
  • Provide everyday employment and HR-related counseling.
  • Draft employment-related policies and agreements.
  • Conduct investigations and deliver training sessions.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission or eligibility for admission to the California Bar.
  • Minimum of three years of employment law experience.
  • Experience in employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
  • Proficiency in advising on employment-related compliance matters.
  • Skilled in drafting employment policies and agreements.
  • Experience in conducting investigations and delivering compliance training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team settings.

Education

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission or eligibility for admission to the California Bar.
