A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for their Los Angeles, CA, location.

Job Overview: The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation cases, providing legal advice, conducting legal research, and preparing legal documents.

Job Details:

  • Litigate civil cases in state and federal courts
  • Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support legal proceedings
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods
  • Represent clients during depositions, hearings, trials, and other court proceedings
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact ongoing cases

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Litigation Attorney or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the CA State Bar Association

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience practicing law in a litigation setting
