Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Attorney in Silicon Valley. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of experience in handling various labor and employment matters, including non-compete and trade secret disputes, employee misconduct investigations, and executive compensation disputes.

Duties

  • Manage non-compete, trade secret, and employee mobility disputes.
  • Conduct employee misconduct investigations.
  • Handle single plaintiff harassment, discrimination, and retaliation lawsuits and arbitrations.
  • Draft employment, severance, and non-competition agreements.
  • Provide day-to-day employment law counseling.
  • Assist with labor and employment law aspects of M&A transactions.
  • Take and defend key depositions and make court appearances.
  • Handle mediations and manage complex cases.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of relevant experience.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills

  • Proficiency in handling complex legal matters.
  • Excellent client management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
