Job Overview

The Associate Attorney will play a vital role in the firm's legal practice, handling a diverse range of legal matters and providing counsel to clients. Duties:

  • Research and analyze complex legal issues and prepare briefs for submission to supervising attorneys, clients, courts, mediators, or arbitrators.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and other judicial proceedings, presenting well-reasoned arguments.
  • Analyze and summarize legal documents, including contracts, and provide suggestions for modifications.
  • Negotiate with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes, including participation in settlement conferences.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems for clients and the firm, developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce risks.
  • Perform due diligence in legal matters related to contracts, agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategies and approaches.

 

Requirements:

  • California State Bar License (required).
  • Graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Experience in corporate transactional, litigation, and real estate law.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to appear in court and present well-reasoned arguments.
  • Negotiation skills and experience with contractual issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
