The ideal candidate will be results-driven with experience or a desire to become experienced in the consumer collection industry. They should possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing practical assessments and advice while advocating for clients in and out of court during the legal collection process. They will draft legal documents, communicate with clients, and attend court hearings. The role requires superior time management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

 

Duties:

  • Advocate for clients in and out of court during the legal collection process
  • Communicate with opposing counsel and pro se parties to negotiate resolutions
  • Draft and review legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other documents
  • Document account/file activity in accordance with firm and client policies
  • Travel to various courts in the state and handle all aspects of a case’s litigation life cycle
  • Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations
  • Maintain and further develop client relationships through responsive communication
  • Attend continuing education classes, webinars, and seminars to stay informed of legal changes
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in consumer collection litigation preferred
  • Knowledge of civil litigation process and state and federal consumer protection laws
  • Superior time management skills and ability to manage priorities effectively
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate other employees
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Education:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Arizona State Bar
