Duties

  • Engage in preliminary legal strategy sessions with clients to understand their goals.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to align strategies and client interests.
  • Advise clients on options and decisions at key junctures.
  • Oversee and analyze discovery and legal pleadings, providing feedback.
  • Confer with other attorneys professionally and advocate effectively.
  • Prepare memorandums and correspondence to update team and clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and agreements for a high volume of cases.
  • Ensure effective client representation at court hearings.
  • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to progress cases.
  • Divide marital assets during divorce proceedings as necessary.
  • Analyze legal problems and create strategic action plans.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience with complex family law cases involving business interests and financial issues.
  • Ability to handle a caseload of 20-30 active domestic relations cases.
  • Integrity, intelligence, character, and professional demeanor.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and legal education.
  • Ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance and prioritize tasks.
  • Exceptional professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Effective client communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of representing plaintiffs and defendants.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree with a legal background.
  • J.D. degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Colorado.
