Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney in Woodbury, New York. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team within a firm of over 200 attorneys nationwide, focusing on commercial and employment litigation.

Duties

• Manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide regular case updates.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Handle mediations.
• Participate in investigations, court appearances, motion practice, and trials.

Requirements

• JD degree with excellent academic credentials.
• 1+ years of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation.
• Admittance to practice in New York.
• Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
• Experience with employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, and wage disputes, is preferred.
• Experience with federal and state wage and hour cases, including class actions, is preferred.
• Experience with investigations before labor and human rights agencies is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admittance to the New York State Bar.
