A law firm seeks a Fund Formation Attorney with over two years of experience for its Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private investment fund formation, representing both sponsors and investors, and handling various fund-related transactions.

Duties

  • Represent sponsors and investors in private investment funds.
  • Complete fund formation and sponsor-level transactions.
  • Manage secondary transactions involving limited partner or portfolio company interests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in private investment fund formation.
  • Experience in a corporate department of a national or international law firm preferred.
  • High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and transactional skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
