Job Title:
Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected New York City-based law firm is seeking a dedicated attorney to oversee and advocate on behalf of clients who have sustained injuries due to the negligence or misconduct of others. The role encompasses complete case management—from initial intake through to resolution via settlement or trial. This position offers a dynamic environment for a litigator passionate about justice and client advocacy.

Duties:

  • Manage an active docket of personal injury matters, including auto accidents, slip/trip and fall, product liability, and wrongful death cases

  • Perform initial consultations to assess case validity and client eligibility

  • Draft litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and settlement communications

  • Engage in settlement discussions with insurers and opposing parties

  • Represent clients in legal proceedings such as depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings

  • Develop trial strategies and serve as lead or supporting attorney during trial

  • Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts, investigators, and healthcare providers to strengthen case positions

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York State

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling personal injury matters, preferably in litigation

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and advocate for client interests

  • Familiarity with the full litigation lifecycle

  • Capable of managing a fast-paced, high-volume caseload with autonomy

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written advocacy

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proficient in drafting and litigation support

  • Adept at using legal practice management tools and software

  • Collaborative mindset with a client-first approach
