Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate to join its Kansas City, MO office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of employment-related legal matters, providing representation and counsel to employers.

Duties

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and discrimination charges.
• Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Advise employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for employment law background.
• Active MO and KS bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of court and employment-related agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, with the ability to work independently.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
