Associate Employment Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Employment Attorney with at least two years of experience in employment law to join their team in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation and a proactive, client-focused mindset.

Duties

• Represent clients in employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage & hour claims.
• Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies.
• Support senior attorneys in complex litigation and class action matters.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Missouri bar license; Kansas bar preferred.
• Admission to the Western District of Missouri and the District of Kansas federal courts.
• 2+ years of experience in employment law, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent judgment and a proactive, client-focused mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Missouri bar license; Kansas bar preferred.
