Job Overview

A well-established mid-sized law firm with a national presence is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join its corporate practice group in Atlanta, GA. This position is ideal for an experienced attorney with at least five years of practice, particularly in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and debt/equity financing. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of taking ownership of complex transactions with minimal oversight. This opportunity includes potential for quick progression to managing one’s own book of business.

Location

  • Atlanta, Georgia

Duties

  • Structure, negotiate, and close a variety of complex corporate transactions

  • Handle M&A, joint ventures, private placements, and capital financing matters

  • Advise clients on corporate governance, compliance, and strategic business planning

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to execute corporate deals

  • Review and draft business contracts, operating agreements, and related documents

  • Work independently with clients and contribute to long-term relationship building

  • Manage multiple transactions with competing deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate law experience, ideally within a law firm environment

  • Proven track record in handling M&A, joint ventures, and financing transactions

  • Ability to manage projects and client relationships with minimal supervision

  • Readiness to assume increasing responsibility, including client development

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active bar license in Georgia or ability to obtain admission promptly

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of corporate transaction structures and financing mechanisms

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication and client relationship management
