The role requires autonomous case management, efficient handling of a large volume of files, and active engagement in discovery processes and court appearances.

Job Details:

  • Handle a full caseload of Workers' Comp. cases, from opening new files to creating litigation plans
  • Autonomously manage a large volume of files, ensuring timely and efficient handling
  • Conduct thorough reviews of incoming correspondence and medical records
  • Engage in discovery processes, make court appearances, and actively participate in trials
  • Maintain exceptional client interaction throughout the legal process
  • Travel to various commissions, courts, and conferences as needed
  • Demonstrated experience in handling Workers' Compensation cases
  • 2 years of experience desired
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Must be licensed in DC and/or VA (or able to waive in); Maryland licensed a plus.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in DC and/or VA; Maryland license is a plus
  • 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation cases
  • Proven ability to manage a high caseload autonomously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
