A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Associate to join its Dallas office. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in all stages of complex commercial, civil, and business litigation matters. The role involves working with a diverse client base, including national and international organizations, and handling high-stakes litigation across multiple areas.

Duties

  • Represent clients in various business and commercial litigation matters, including consumer or shareholder class actions, merger and acquisition disputes, securities litigation, and corporate governance issues.
  • Handle real estate financing and development disputes, product liability cases, and multi-district or multi-forum litigation as required.
  • Participate in all litigation phases, from case initiation to resolution, including discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and manage complex case documents with a focus on e-discovery.
  • Collaborate with the legal team on case strategy and trial preparation, ensuring effective client representation.

Requirements

  • Three to six years of law firm experience in a litigation-focused practice, particularly in commercial and business litigation.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, including discovery processes and e-discovery practices.
  • Experience in depositions, hearings, and oral arguments is advantageous.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with a keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar.

Skills

  • Proficiency in litigation management and procedural strategy.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including the ability to present arguments effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple case components and tight deadlines.
