A law firm is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney for their office in Austin, TX.

Job Overview:

The Criminal Defense Attorney will be responsible for proactive client care and providing exceptional quality service in the handling of cases. The caseload will provide an opportunity to apply legal knowledge and skills to deliver optimal results for the firm's clients.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and trials.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to build a strong defense strategy.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the legal process.
  • Negotiate plea deals with prosecutors when necessary.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Maintain communication with clients, keeping them informed about their case status.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

  • Texas Criminal Law experience is preferred.
  • Licensed to Practice Law in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
