Todd Flaming has for 28 years represented companies in commercial cases, including complex disputes over patents, trade secrets, and technology ? from contract and tort claims to statutory claims, including patent infringement and Paragraph IV (Hatch-Waxman) litigation.
He has handled trials, arbitrations, mediations, as well as class actions. His clients have included Fortune 100 and Fortune Global 500 computer, consumer electronics, military, financial, service, and retail companies, as well as Internet and pharmaceutical start-ups. His patent and technical cases have involved a variety of technologies, including WLAN (Wi-Fi) standards, cellular telephones, industrial mechatronics, network software, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, automotive parts and batteries, nuclear waste disposal, and optics and data transfer, among others.
He served on the Board of Directors of Illinois Legal Aid Online for a decade. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1993, where he was a member of the Law Review, and his B.A. magna cum laude in 1988 from Loyola Marymount University. He was a semi-finalist in the 1988 National Debate Tournament.
