Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Florida Litigation Attorney with work-from-home flexibility to represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes, and real estate litigation. This role is based in Florida and involves court appearances, case strategy development, document drafting, and settlement negotiations.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of contested matters for mortgage lenders and investors.
  • Appear in state and federal court for hearings and trials.
  • Communicate regularly with clients for updates and case resolution.
  • Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents.
  • Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.
  • Conduct legal research and writing.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree, licensed in Florida, and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant litigation experience, 5 years preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of motion practice experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of courtroom experience.
  • Knowledge of Florida Mortgage Foreclosure Law.
  • Knowledge of Florida Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.
  • Experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property.

Education

  • J.D. degree

Certifications

  • Licensed in Florida
