Job Overview:
A respected law firm in New Orleans is looking to hire a Litigation Attorney with a strong background in subrogation, insurance defense, and/or workers’ compensation defense. The firm is seeking an attorney with 3-7 years of experience to handle a diverse caseload, engage in client relations, and take ownership of cases from start to finish. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment while demonstrating excellent legal research, writing, and time management skills.

Duties:

• Manage national subrogation cases, insurance defense, and workers' compensation defense matters.

• Handle cases independently while collaborating with local counsel.

• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.

• Demonstrate full-case management from initiation to resolution.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

• Produce high-quality written work including legal briefs, motions, and case correspondence.

• Conduct legal research and draft compelling legal arguments.

• Ensure timely case management by adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks.

• Track billable hours and engage in necessary administrative duties.

• Participate in occasional travel for client meetings and case management.

• Contribute to the firm's marketing and client development efforts.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of litigation experience.

• Proven ability to handle cases from start to finish.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.

• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to case management.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent organizational skills and time management.

• Familiarity with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Louisiana.
