Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join their team in New Orleans, LA. The role requires expertise in personal injury, insurance defense, and/or commercial litigation, with a preference for experience in motor carrier, rail, or maritime litigation. The position is full-time and based in the New Orleans office.

Duties

  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Make regular court appearances.
  • Engage in first-chair trial activities.

Requirements

  • Louisiana law license or ability to waive-in.
  • Experience in personal injury, insurance defense, and/or commercial litigation.
  • Preferred experience in motor carrier, rail, or maritime litigation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Louisiana or eligible for waiver.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong trial and deposition skills.
