Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial/Residential Landlord-Tenant Attorney in New York City. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in court proceedings and document preparation related to landlord-tenant disputes.

Duties

  • Litigate landlord-tenant matters in Civil Court and Supreme Court.
  • Draft predicate notices, pleadings, and motions.
  • Negotiate and draft complex settlement agreements.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of court experience in landlord-tenant litigation.
  • Proven experience in drafting legal documents and agreements.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in New York State.

Skills

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent computer and legal research skills.
