Mid-Level M&A Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its corporate practice group in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity, focusing on representing financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers.

Duties

• Represent financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers in M&A and private equity transactions.
• Prepare acquisition and disposition agreements.
• Handle related corporate matters.

Requirements

• Four to six years of M&A and private equity experience.
• Admitted to the Illinois Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills

• Strong analytical and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
