Job Overview:

A reputable California-based litigation firm specializing in Lemon Law and consumer protection is seeking an Entry-Level Associate Attorney for its Roseville office. This position is ideal for junior attorneys with 6 months to 3 years of experience who are passionate about advocating for consumer rights and are eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role offers immediate hands-on experience across various litigation phases, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation.

Location:

  • Walnut, California.

Duties:

  • Written Discovery:

    • Draft written discovery requests and responses.
    • Review document productions and participate in e-discovery.
    • Prepare discovery responses for consumer clients.
  • Law & Motion Work:

    • Draft motions related to discovery disputes.
    • Prepare responses to pleading challenges.
    • Participate in oral arguments, case management conferences, and ex parte requests in court.
  • Depositions:

    • Attend and defend consumer client depositions.
    • Take depositions of percipient witnesses.
  • Vehicle Inspections:

    • Attend vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.
  • Other Responsibilities:

    • Ensure timely reporting and billing for hours worked.
    • Opportunities for growth into more complex tasks such as dispositive motions, higher-stakes depositions, and trial preparation.
    • Assist with other tasks as assigned by partners.

Requirements:

  • 6 months to 3 years of litigation experience as a California-licensed attorney.
  • Genuine interest in consumer protection and litigation.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and depositions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the California Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to deadlines.
  • Decisive problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).
