Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Corporate Attorney to join its Corporate Law group in California. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, and joint ventures. A partial book of portable business is preferred.

Duties

  • Provide legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist clients with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements and documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Stay updated on changes in corporate law and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate law at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Proven track record of managing client matters independently.
  • Deep understanding of corporate law, M&A, securities, and business transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
