Job Overview

A well-regarded law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its Private Wealth Services practice in Tampa, Florida. This role focuses on high-stakes trusts and estates litigation, representing individuals, families, fiduciaries, financial institutions, and charitable organizations in a wide range of disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in probate and fiduciary litigation, estate administration, and courtroom procedures, with an interest in growing their practice in a collegial and advancement-oriented environment.

Location

• Tampa, Florida

Duties

• Handle probate and trust litigation matters including disputes over wills, estates, and fiduciary conduct

• Represent clients in cases involving breach of fiduciary duty, elder abuse, and contested guardianships

• Manage estate and trust administration responsibilities in support of litigation strategy

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Attend and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials

• Provide strategic litigation counsel to clients during all phases of dispute resolution

• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys in complex, multi-party litigation

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience, ideally in trusts and estates or fiduciary matters

• Experience with depositions, hearings, and court appearances

• Strong familiarity with probate, estate, and trust administration

• Trial experience preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member of the Florida Bar (required)

Skills

• Immediate, transferable litigation skills including legal research, writing, and oral advocacy

• Strong subject matter knowledge of trusts, estates, probate law, and fiduciary duties

• Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
