Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Estate Planning Attorney for a fully remote position based in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves ensuring the legal soundness of estate planning documents, supporting a high-volume operation from home. The position is non-client-facing, focusing on high-integrity legal work without court appearances or billable hours.

Duties

  • Perform final reviews of estate planning documents prepared by the paralegal and drafting team.
  • Ensure documents align with client data, comply with state law, and are ready for signing.
  • Conduct post-review approvals following client document review meetings.
  • Review and submit recorded deeds via SimpliFile for compliance.
  • Provide internal guidance to the paralegal team on legal questions.
  • Conduct proofreading and quality control checks on junior paralegal work.
  • Assist with document review meetings or client onboarding tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate on estate plan summary cleanup and onboarding coordination.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years active experience as a licensed attorney.
  • 10 to 25 years of experience preferred.
  • Estate planning experience is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working under the supervision of the Lead Attorney.

Education

  • U.S. Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

  • Valid state bar license (no specific state required).

Skills

  • Detail-oriented and enjoys independent legal work.
  • Tech-savvy and organized.
  • Track record of self-management and meeting productivity benchmarks in remote environments.
