Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Boston office. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in employment matters related to corporate transactions, particularly involving private equity clients and strategic investors.

Duties

  • Work on employment aspects of transactions involving private equity clients and strategic investors.
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, offer letters, and separation agreements.
  • Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with state laws.
  • Advise clients on structuring transactions and legal considerations.
  • Participate in due diligence calls and negotiate transaction documents.
  • Analyze pre-litigation disputes and develop case strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment aspects of private equity or M&A deals.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements.
  • Strong attention to detail and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Admission to practice in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
