Job Overview

An established immigration law firm is seeking a Business Immigration Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco-based team. The position is ideal for an attorney with at least two years of experience advising institutional and individual clients on employment-based immigration matters. The role involves providing legal strategy, managing high-volume caseloads, and supervising petition preparation. This is a hybrid position that combines remote work flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel and risk assessments regarding eligibility for immigration benefits

  • Supervise and review work of legal assistants for NIV and IV petition preparation and filing

  • Oversee and manage a foreign national employee population, ensuring timely petition filings and legal compliance

  • Draft and file employment-based immigration petitions, including H-1B, L-1, and I-485 AOS applications

  • Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances

  • Deliver high-quality, accurate legal services across a high-volume caseload

  • Offer personalized and detail-oriented advisory services to clients

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing business immigration law

  • Demonstrated experience with H-1B, L-1, and I-485 Adjustment of Status applications

  • Familiarity with tracking immigration deadlines and compliance requirements

  • Experience handling high-volume caseloads efficiently and effectively

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state

Skills

  • Proficiency in preparing and managing immigration petitions and filings

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

  • Capable of providing individualized legal solutions within a structured workflow

  • Collaborative team member with leadership abilities for supervising staff

  • Experience with PERM, Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher/Professor, and Multinational Manager petitions is a plus
