Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research on land use, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, deeds, easements, and leases.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and compliance issues related to land acquisition and development.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation involving land disputes.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, planners, and government officials to meet legal requirements.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations to provide up-to-date legal guidance.
  • Prepare and present legal opinions and reports to clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate, land use, or property law.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local land use and zoning laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex legal documents.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • SC Required, Dual License Preferred.
