A law firm seeks a highly motivated Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its growing team in the Louisville Metro area (remote options available). The ideal candidate will have experience in pre-litigation personal injury law, focusing on motor vehicle accidents, and will be responsible for guiding clients through the initial stages of their legal claims. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you can make a real difference in clients’ lives. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Manage pre-litigation personal injury cases, primarily involving motor vehicle accidents.
  • Provide exceptional client service by maintaining strong relationships and guiding clients through the legal process.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, medical records, and relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses, organizing conferences and supporting the development of expert reports.
  • Assess the value of claims and negotiate settlements with insurance companies.
  • Work closely with the legal team to prepare cases for litigation if necessary.
  • Attend training programs and seminars, potentially outside regular business hours, to stay updated on legal trends and practices.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice in Kentucky or have taken the UBE in the last 4 years with a willingness to become licensed in Kentucky.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling pre-litigation personal injury cases.
  • Active member of the state bar in good standing.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation cases efficiently.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury law and relevant regulations.
  • Strong client communication and service skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a legal team.
  • Self-driven with a long-term career focus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Kentucky State Bar or eligibility to obtain Kentucky licensure.

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury law, particularly motor vehicle accidents and pre-litigation procedures.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
