A prestigious law firm in New York is seeking a Senior Banking Associate Attorney with a minimum of five years of experience in banking transactions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in drafting, negotiating, and closing domestic and international financing transactions, with a strong knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and the Bankruptcy Code. Experience in trade finance or fund finance is a plus. This role offers significant potential for growth within an active and expanding practice group.

Duties:

  • Draft, negotiate, and close a variety of domestic and international financing transactions, both syndicated and bilateral, secured, and unsecured.
  • Work on lending, letter of credit, and other transactions for financial institutions.
  • Provide legal support on transactions involving trade finance and fund finance, as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, including the UCC and Bankruptcy Code.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in banking transactions.
  • Expertise in both domestic and international financing, including syndicated and bilateral, secured, and unsecured transactions.
  • Knowledge of the UCC and Bankruptcy Code.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong legal drafting and negotiating abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of banking laws and financial transactions.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.
