Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Probate Attorney for a remote position within their busy and expanding statewide probate litigation practice. The firm handles highly contested probate cases, including conservatorship proceedings, power of attorney accounting proceedings, trust accounting proceedings, and estate administration. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team and gain exposure to probate litigation across Connecticut.

Location:

Duties:

  • Conduct client interviews and assess case details.
  • Organize and review case file materials.
  • Perform legal research to support case strategies.
  • Evaluate, identify, and select legal claims.
  • Draft pre-trial analytical documents, pleadings, and memorandums of law.
  • Prepare briefs, trial documents, and assist with trial preparation.
  • Appear in probate courts across Connecticut as required.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the practice of law in Connecticut.
  • Ability to work remotely while staying connected to the team and attending court appearances.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to becoming an exceptional probate attorney.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of legal cases effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
