Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Lemon Law Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, specifically in California Lemon Law, to manage complex cases against auto manufacturers and dealers on behalf of consumers.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of California Lemon Law litigation from case inception through trial.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Investigate claims by collecting and analyzing vehicle repair records and related evidence.
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and court hearings.
  • Negotiate settlements with auto manufacturers and dealers.
  • Prepare clients and expert witnesses for depositions and testimony.
  • Advise clients on their legal rights throughout the litigation process.
  • Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and supervise associates as needed.
  • Coordinate with legal support staff for efficient case management.
  • Stay current on California Lemon Law and consumer protection regulations.

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, including California Lemon Law.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and paralegals.
  • Proficient in MS Office and FileVine.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • California State Bar License.

Skills

  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in legal research and case management software.
