Senior Associate - Aviation Liability

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation attorney with 5-8 years of experience to join its aviation, aerospace, automotive, and product litigation and regulatory practice in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will be a proactive litigator with excellent writing skills, capable of acting independently throughout the discovery process and assisting in trials.

Duties

• Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis, drafting memoranda.
• Prepare status reports and recommendations for clients.
• Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Manage all aspects of litigation from initial pleadings through trial.

Requirements

• Experience in aviation, products liability, and automotive warranty preferred.
• JD from a reputable law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Discovery and Law and Motion experience.
• Experience with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
• State and Federal court experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Bar admission in California.
