Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced civil and commercial litigation attorney to join their team in Dallas, TX, in an Of Counsel capacity. This contract, fully remote position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a forward-thinking legal team. Candidates should have 8-10+ years of litigation experience and be licensed in Texas or eligible for licensure.

Duties

  • Handle all aspects of civil and commercial litigation matters.
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and related litigation procedures.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal analysis, statutory interpretation, and strategic advice to clients.
  • Respond to discovery requests and subpoenas, including evidence gathering and document review.
  • Maintain and manage case calendars, deadlines, and legal filings.
  • Support clients with clear, effective legal guidance and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to drive successful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (preferably TX) or eligibility for licensure in TX (strongly preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage complex caseloads, and meet deadlines; manage multiple priorities across multiple cases.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • Enthusiasm for mentorship and eagerness to collaborate with a team.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing case files efficiently.

Education
