Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Associate for its New York office. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits, particularly in corporate transactions and financial restructurings, as well as securities aspects of executive compensation.

Duties

  • Advise on executive compensation and employee benefits in corporate transactions.
  • Handle financial restructuring matters related to compensation and benefits.
  • Manage public company disclosure regarding executive compensation.
  • Collaborate with clients on mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, and restructuring.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with corporate transactions and financial restructurings.
  • Knowledge of securities aspects of executive compensation.
  • Stellar academic credentials preferred.
  • Comparable law firm experience preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
