Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Case Development Intake Attorney in Corpus Christi, TX. The role involves managing a docket of approximately 50 cases, investigating and preserving evidence, and developing medical and triage cases. The attorney will handle property damage claims, communicate with clients and adjusters, and prepare status reports. They will also manage clients during the case development intake process and act as a liaison to settle certain cases.

Duties

  • Investigate and develop commercial cases.
  • Accept and evaluate incoming calls from potential new clients.
  • Secure authorization to sign up or decline claims.
  • Explain attorney-client contracts and sign up cases.
  • Prepare and submit monthly status reports for clients.
  • Manage client relationships during the intake process.
  • Prepare and document demands for case settlements.

Requirements

  • JD; must be licensed in Texas and in good standing.
  • 0-3 years of personal injury experience.
  • Strong commitment to client service.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Valid TX driver license and good driving record.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills

  • Strong initiative and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective communication abilities.
  • Customer service and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Bilingual (Spanish a plus).
