Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for a full-time position in Scottsdale, AZ. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home while requiring some in-office presence. The successful candidate will provide legal advice, conduct research, engage in labor and employment law, negotiate terms, and manage cases from inception to resolution, collaborating with peers and clients to achieve favorable outcomes.

Duties

• Represent clients in Superior and Federal courts.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Advise clients on litigation matters.
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
• Take depositions and argue motions in court.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to legal practice.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of civil litigation experience.
• Familiarity with Arizona and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; knowledge of the appellate process is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to become an effective litigator.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Arizona.
